Additional Degrees & Concentrations

(BS/Minor) - From the methods electricity is generated (coal, nuclear, wind, solar) to the ways in which it is used, energy engineering degrees leverage the fundamentals of engineering principles to understand and address the world’s energy supply and demand. This field of study focuses on the efficiency of energy sources and services as well as environmental law compliance and alternative energy sources and technology.

(BS/Minor) - The field of environmental and ecological engineering focuses on the application of engineering principles to land and water resources, air and soil quality, land-use management, ecosystem services, ecological restoration and waste management. Students pursuing this degree path will work to understand how the environment and its ecological interactions can be improved through sustainable systems and advancements in technology.

(Minor/Concentration) - A concentration in resiliency & sustainability of engineering systems focuses on lessening environmental impact caused by human disruption and natural disasters. Students pursuing this degree will learn to think critically about how technical, social, political and economic facets interact-- working to understand how complex environmental challenges can be addressed through multi-dimensional sustainable solutions.
