Additional Degrees & Concentrations

(BS/Minor) - Students pursuing the field of biology will research living organisms and their interactions with the environment—from molecular to environmental—genetics to zoology. There are a variety of concentrations and specializations available; graduates pursue careers in a wide variety of industries, including agriculture, education, healthcare, research and the environment.
(BS/Minor/Assoc) - The field of bioengineering harnesses the design and analysis principles of engineering to biological systems and biomedical technologies—then creating operational, tangible, economically viable products. Students will train in fundamentals of both biology and engineering, which may include elements of electrical and mechanical engineering, computer science, chemistry and biology.
(Concentration) - Bioenvironmental engineering concentrations incorporate principles of biology, microbiology and process engineering—teaching students to utilize these combined disciplines to overcome environmental challenges.
(Concentration) - Students of bioprocess and bioenergy concentrations will learn how to engineer biological processes to create bio-based products and produce renewable energy. Depending upon career goals, students may study biomass feedstock development, fermentation processes and/or focus on the various means in which biofuels, biogas and bioenergy can advance technology.
