Sustainability and Conservation

Degree Focus

Long-term sustainability continues to become a top priority at both individual and organizational levels– from our homes to commerce, agriculture and the government. Environmental and sustainability students will examine environmental and sustainability challenges from all angles – how they arise, are represented, researched, managed and prevented. Coursework may include studies in environmental science, data analysis, agriculture, sustainability and society and environmental policy. Students can look forward to affecting positive change for environmental sustainability through careers in environmental science, social responsibility, parks and recreation management, the non-profit sector and government agencies.

Additional Degrees & Concentrations

(BS/Minor) - Sustainable management and policy programs prepare students for careers implementing green and sustainable practices, operations and laws in the fields of business, manufacturing and government. Coursework may include public affairs, policy making, sustainability and green technology.

(Cert) - A sustainable technologies certification provides students the opportunity to effect change and benefit society through the implementation of sustainable practices and technologies. Students will study sustainable design and technology, renewable energy and green manufacturing and industrial methods.

(BS) - A degree in sustainable food systems provides students deep knowledge into critical role sustainability plays to our food supply and food production methods. Areas of study may include low to no input farming, organic food production and urban agriculture.
