Do you stay on the pulse of new technical advancements and how to integrate new developments into daily life? Engineering technology is often described as engineering’s practical applications arm, translating engineering concepts and theories into practical reality. Students pursuing this field of study are implementers—studying engineering fundamentals and learning how they can apply for ultimate productivity and efficiency—including testing, evaluation, production and technical analysis. Graduates can look forward to applying their skill set(s) to a variety of evolving industries such as rebuilding of infrastructure, renewable energy and robotics.

Additional Degrees & Concentrations

(BS) - PreEngineering programs focus on preparing students’ math and science skills, as well as advancing critical thinking and problem-solving proficiencies—serving as the critical foundation for additional engineering studies. Additionally, students will explore topics of computer science, electronics and technical design graphics.

(Minor) - Applied engineering and technology programs prepare students with a strong foundational understanding of math, science and engineering—which they may be applied to a variety of technical disciplines. Program graduates will be prepared to assume managerial positions in which they are responsible for the supervision, education and training of technical disciplines in automotive, manufacturing, packaging or quality industries. Graduates may go on to work for industrial companies, government sectors and educational agencies.
