Degree Focus

Students interested in innovation and staying on the forefront of emerging advancements may choose to pursue a degree in general technology. Based upon career goals, students may choose to concentrate their studies in transportation, manufacturing, electronics or land resources. Through coursework and hands-on application, students can expect to learn all aspects of their chosen specialization, developing a strong foundation from which leadership and management roles can be pursued. Potential careers may include diesel technology, computer integrated manufacturing, computer networking, construction technology and much more.

Additional Degrees & Concentrations

(BS) - Manufacturing engineering technology programs apply technology and technological advancements to manufacturing processes. Studies will focus on the technical design of manufacturing processes, system design, quality control, lean manufacturing and the implementation of green and sustainable practices.

(Assoc/Cert) - Students of precision agriculture equipment programs will learn the ways in which global positioning systems and emerging technologies can be used to collect, manage and apply agricultural data. Coursework will include production agriculture, mechanical systems, electronics, business and global food supply issues.

(Cert) - Students may choose to pursue a mechanical CAD certification as a standalone certification, or as complement to engineering, process design or other degrees. Students will learn the fundamentals of AutoCAD software and coursework will include studies in manufacturing processes, mathematics and geometry.

(BS/Minor) - Unmanned aerial degree programs are designed for students interested in the emerging field of drone operations. Studies will explore all aspects of the industry – aircraft design, operation, commerce, regulations and policy – enabling graduates to pursue careers in a variety of fields, including agriculture, business, aeronautics and the military.
