Additional Degrees & Concentrations

(BS) - User experience design degrees center on developing products and services with the specific intent to maximize an end user’s ultimate satisfaction. User experience design students will learn to optimize applications – such as websites, apps and programs – in order to maximize a user’s experience and interaction. Students will also learn to analyze user metrics and develop solutions that improve engagement and conversion.

(BS/Minor) - Cognitive science is the scientific study of the human mind. Students pursuing this degree will explore intellectual abilities and processes; learning how they can be applied to develop intelligent devices such as artificial intelligence, robotics and large-scale computational systems.

(Concentration) - Artificial intelligence concentrations provide the opportunity for students to explore, expand and apply their understanding of artificial intelligence systems and technologies. Subjects of focus may include data analysis and mining, robotics, bioinformatics, machine learning, statistics and programming.

(Concentration) - Digital Humanities concentrations examine traditional humanities subjects – like history, philosophy, literature, art history – from a digital perspective and context. Coursework may include digital mapping, information visualization, linguistics, text mining and digital history. Graduates can look forward to pursuing careers in a wide range of fields, including web and game design, public relations, digital communications and much more.
