Marking Content Specialist (Contractor)
Position Description Summary
The Content Specialist (Contractor) supports the creation, execution, and optimization of marketing content
across multiple channels. This role plays a critical part in bringing campaigns and brand initiatives to life through high‑quality, accurate, and engaging content designed for animal owners across the diverse species our brands serve, from livestock and equine to companion animals, backyard poultry, and wildlife.
Working within the Marketing Communications team, this role partners cross-functionally with brand, digital and performance to deliver content that supports marketing objectives, enhances the consumer experience, and ensures consistency across all touchpoints. The role also contributes to how content is structured, managed, and optimized to increase visibility and effectiveness across and evolving digital landscape.
Key Responsibilities
• Create, format, and publish engaging content across web, email, and digital marketing channels
• Produce and adapt content such as blog posts, landing pages, email content, and educational materials
• Resize, adapt, and create supporting visual assets (e.g., email graphics, social assets, web visuals) using tools like Canva or Adobe
• Ensure all content aligns with brand voice, messaging, and campaign objectives
• Perform quality assurance (QA) to ensure accuracy, functionality, and consistency of all content
• Identify and resolve content inconsistencies or gaps across channels, ensuring a cohesive consumer experience
• Optimize content for readability, usability, and search performance using best practices
• Partner with the team to identify opportunities for content to surface in AI-generated responses, summaries, and emerging digital experiences
• Support email marketing execution, including content creation and deployment in partnership with Marketing Operations team members
• Maintain and organize content within CMS, DAM, and project management tools
• Partner with Marketing Operations to improve content workflows, templates, and processes
• Monitor content performance and identify opportunities to improve engagement, visibility, and effectiveness
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop targeted, audience-specific content and support integrated campaign execution
• Support additional content-related initiatives and new content-focused workstreams as needed
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2-5 years of experience in content marketing, digital marketing or marketing operations
• Experience creating and publishing content across digital channels
• Must be detail-oriented, innovative and creative
• Ability to manage multiple and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) and email marketing tools (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
• Familiarity with SEO, AEO/GEO and digital content best practices
• Experience working within a multi-brand or cross-functional marketing environment
• Exposure to animal nutrition, agriculture, or pet-related industries
• Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, SEO platforms (e.g., SEMrush), or similar
