Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and assess marketing needs across counties, developing strategic plans and resources aimed at encouraging membership growth and increasing engagement.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for county event marketing requests, offering guidance and solutions to county leaders.
  • Develop and distribute marketing toolkits (“event-in-a-box”) for key programs such as Ag Day, county fairs, rural road safety campaigns, and Ag in the Classroom/Book of the Year, making it easier for counties to effectively promote INFB and agriculture.
  • Advise county leaders on brand alignment and advertising best practices, and review proposed county advertising campaigns as requested.
  • Design a variety of county meeting materials including postcards, emails, banners, surveys, flyers, stickers, and social media graphics.
  • Create and distribute a monthly e-newsletter with relevant and timely organizational updates.
  • Support the marketing team on special projects and assist with State Fair initiatives as directed.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proofreading and editing abilities.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong skills in graphic design (portfolio samples may be requested).
  • Proficiency in photography and videography.
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms and their use for promotion and engagement.
  • Familiarity with Indiana Farm Bureau’s mission, structure, and program offerings (or willingness to learn).
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the state of Indiana on a monthly basis for INFB events, county Farm Bureau events, county fairs, and related activities.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a professional office setting, ideally in a marketing role.
  • Experience or familiarity with the agriculture industry, nonprofits, or membership organizations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate across teams.
