Additional Degrees & Concentrations

(BS/Minor/Cert) - Public health programs focus on the study and research of disease prevention, wellness and health education. Students will learn how to address and resolve the causes of health issues in communities by analyzing societal health problems and community data. Coursework will include health science, biostatistics, environmental health, epidemiology, intervention and public health administration and policy. Graduates pursue careers in a variety of fields including government, state and community public health agencies, consulting firms, universities, hospitals and nonprofits.

(BS) - Applied health sciences degrees focus on the preventative aspect of healthcare-- including wellness programs, health education, policy and therapeutic intervention. Coursework may include healthcare leadership, consumer health, health policy and ethics and informatics. Graduates will be prepared for careers within academic, private and governmental career settings.

(BS) - Medical technology degree programs prepare students for a variety of healthcare occupations, including medical technicians, clinical laboratory technicians, diagnostic technicians and practitioner support technicians. Coursework will include chemistry, biology, statistics, immunology, medical research and often includes a clinical internship.
