experience as a paid summer intern while promoting and
preparing for Indiana’s largest multi-day event – the 2026
INDIANA STATE FAIR!

Description:
The Promotions and Events Intern should be looking towards a career in
event production and marketing. This internship will develop skills in
organization, creative thinking, planning, implementation, and building
partnerships.

Indiana State Fair Areas of Involvement include:

• Indiana Wine & Spirits Competition
• Agriculture and Horticulture Building including Canstruction + Giant
Vegetable Competition
• Indiana Arts Building
• Competitive Events Promotion and Entry
• Band Movement and Stage Management
• Young Hoosier State Piano Competition
• Communication of event details
• Involved in overall marketing team efforts

Interested Applicants Should Have:
1. An interest in Event Production, Operations and Marketing
2. Must be at least 21 years of age
3. Good verbal and written communication skills
4. Attention to detail and organization
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office
6. Team Player attitude – willing to assist in other areas and do whatever it
takes to get the job done!
7. Motivation, be a self-starter

 

Internships begin in early June. Interns are required to stay through the
duration of the State Fair. Internships are 40 hours/week with extended hours
one month prior to and during the State Fair.
