Salary: $60-75K + Bonus Opportunity

Role Summary: The Bilingual Human Resources Generalist plays a critical role in supporting the full employee lifecycle, with a primary focus on recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, offboarding, and employee engagement initiatives. This position ensures a consistent, compliant, and positive employee experience across all locations while supporting company growth, retention, and culture initiatives.

 

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the need for current or future immigration sponsorship.

 

Key Responsibilities (others may be assigned as business needs dictate):

 

·        Manage full-cycle recruiting for all assigned roles (exempt and non-exempt) including:

o  Job postings, sourcing, screening, and interview coordination

o  Partnering with hiring managers to define role requirements and expectations and coordinate needs for the role (training, IT, expenses, etc)

o  Complete DOT Driver-Long Form Applications, conduct DOT compliant screening, and ensure DQF file compliance before hand-off.

o  H2B Immigration/Programs

·        Track recruiting metrics

·        Ensure a consistent and professional candidate experience; exuding customer service on steroids.

·        Support creative sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill roles (e.g. social media recruiting, local community networking/recruiting, job fairs)

·        Coordinate pre-employment processes (background checks, drug screens, reference checks, IT/systems setup, charge card, business card, site access, etc).

·        Coordinate and execute onboarding processes, including:

o  Offer letters, new hire paperwork, and system setup

o  I-9 compliance and E-Verify processing

o  Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure a strong first-day experience

o  Partner with managers to ensure proper onboarding plans and training schedules

o  Monitor new hire progress through the first 90 days and support retention efforts

·        Own the first 90-day employee experience. Conduct 30/60/90-day check-ins, stay interviews, and exit interviews.

·        Serve as primary point of contact for employee benefits questions and support. Administer benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations through Employee Navigator.

·        Support open enrollment planning, communication, and execution.

·        Track employee leave requests including PTO, FMLA, STD, and Workers Comp.

·        Manage voluntary and involuntary separation processes.

·        Maintain accurate and compliant employee records.

·        Assist with audits (I-9, personnel files, benefits, etc)

·        Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive employee information.

·        Stay informed on employment laws and HR best practices across multiple states.

·        Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and managers.

·        Assist with process improvements and standardization of HR practices.

·        Support training, communication, and rollout of HR programs and systems.

·        Act as the face/voice of 101 – answering HR line, responding to all communications/requests for information.

·        Own the employer brand as it relates to recruiting and retention.

·        Ensure consistency of messaging across job postings, career pages, hiring communications.

·        Test and improve candidate experience and new-hire perception.

·        Support H-2B workforce onboarding and coordination

·        Ensure accurate records and audit readiness.

·        Participate in ad-hoc requests as needed.

 

Qualifications:

·        Bilingual (English/Spanish), strongly preferred.

·        2-5+ years of progressive HR experience, with strong exposure to recruiting, onboarding, and benefits administration.

·        1+ year experience with CDL Driver Recruiting and DOT/FMCSA compliance.

·        2+ years’ experience recruiting non-exempt/labor roles and exempt/salaried roles.

·        Experience with H2A/H2B administration, a plus.

·        Working knowledge of multi-state employment laws and HR/Recruiting compliance.

·        Experience developing compliant job postings and employer branding initiatives.

·        Familiarity with a variety of job boards, including niche boards (Indeed, Tenstreet, LinkedIn)

·        Working knowledge of HRIS/ATS systems, required. Paylocity, preferred.

·        Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field, preferred.

·        SHRM-CP or PHR certification, preferred (or willingness to obtain).
