What do complex problems like human disease, food security and climate change all have in common? They require massive amounts of data collection and analysis. Mathematics and statistics are fundamental to decoding and solving these challenges. Pursuing a Mathematics degree will provide the comprehensive knowledge and skillset to execute complex problem solving. Coursework will include calculus, differential equations, linear algebra, probability and statistics, proofs and theorems.

(BS/Minor/Concentration) - Data science is a multi-faceted field--deriving actionable insights from large data sets—progressing knowledge and various applications forward. Students pursuing this degree path will develop both mathematical and technological skills that allow for data analyzation and visualization in virtually any field.

(BS/Minor) - Mathematics, statistics and actuarial science is a combined degree program that prepares individuals with the foundation of mathematic principles and theory as well as analytical science. Students pursuing this degree program will learn how to apply these mathematical principles to solve complex world problems, while assessing and mitigating risks along the way.

(BS/Minor) - Applied computational mathematics and statistics degree programs use modeling, simulation and data analysis to generate real-world solutions. This interdisciplinary approach places a high focus and value on collaboration, as well as ongoing research and development. Graduates will be prepared to apply their knowledge across a wide variety of fields—from business, engineering the natural and social sciences, to technology and more.
