Students pursuing this degree path will develop both mathematical and technological skills that allow for data analyzation and visualization in virtually any field.
(BS/Minor) - Computer science and information technology degrees combine theoretical technological principles with practical hands on approach to provide students with an overarching understanding of information, data and application. Students pursuing this degree will explore and learn skills related to the collection, storage, management and application of information and data.
(Cert) - Applied econometrics and data science is a complex field specialization that prepares students to use real-world data to answer fundamental research questions in economics, business and policy. Students pursuing this degree will learn to analyze and evaluate data sets, as well as develop innovative solutions through the use of information technology, modeling and forecasting.
(Concentration) - A data systems concentration encompasses a comprehensive understanding of data systems and processes—teaching the in-depth fundamentals of systems’ building, implementation and operations. Students pursuing this concentration will explore and study topics related to embedded systems, databases, cloud technology and big data application.
