{"id":736,"date":"2025-09-11T19:19:05","date_gmt":"2025-09-11T19:19:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/myfieldatlas.com\/jobs\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=736"},"modified":"2025-11-11T00:33:21","modified_gmt":"2025-11-11T00:33:21","slug":"agronomy-intern-summer-2026","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/myfieldatlas.com\/jobs\/?post_type=job_listing&p=736","title":{"rendered":"Agronomy Intern (Summer 2026)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b><u>Position Overview<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Agronomy Intern is responsible for assisting the assigned location with operations and agronomy work, including field scouting, soil sampling, and customer deliveries.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b><u>Key Responsibilities <\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scout fields and make recommendations with assistance from supervisor<\/li>\n<li>Conduct and analyze results of soil and tissue sampling<\/li>\n<li>Perform field applications and inventory control of feed, fertilizer, and crop protection products<\/li>\n<li>Assist in product deliveries to customers, with timeliness, efficient communication, and required paperwork<\/li>\n<li>Expand knowledge on the operations side of a retail farm center<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b><u>What is expected of you and others at this level<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimal job-related experience<\/li>\n<li>Acquires basic skills to perform routine tasks<\/li>\n<li>Work is prescribed and completed with little autonomy<\/li>\n<li>Works with either close supervision, or under clearly defined procedures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b><u>Minimum Qualifications &amp; Skills<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School Diploma or GED equivalent required<\/li>\n<li>0-2 years\u2019 relevant experience required<\/li>\n<li>Interest or major in agriculture related degree is preferred<\/li>\n<li>Must have and maintain a valid driver\u2019s license, with the ability to travel independently as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b><u>Physical Requirements and Working Environment<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Outdoor work in various weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements<\/li>\n<li>Exposure to dust and high noise level<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work hours beyond those considered normal, including weekends<\/li>\n<li>Occasionally lifting of up to 50 pounds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><i>This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed.
