Together, we\u2019re improving health and improving lives.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Labcorp is seeking a recent or upcoming grad for a <b>Research Study<\/b> <b>Technician <\/b>position to join our <b>Animal Operations<\/b> team in<b> Greenfield, Indiana!!<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Work Schedule:<\/b> Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:45pm EST (Once fully trained will require working every 3rd weekend (both Saturday and Sunday))<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Job Responsibilities:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>In this position you will be conducting Animal Research studies that will be looking at the safety, effectiveness and toxicity of drugs that are in early development phase and\/or chemical substances.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>May provide husbandry duties to small and large animals<\/li>\n<li>Perform various dosing techniques with small and large animals<\/li>\n<li>May perform bleeding techniques with small and large animals<\/li>\n<li>Collect biological samples<\/li>\n<li>Perform basic measurements such as body weight, food consumption, body temperature, blood pressure, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining the\u00a0highest standards of animal care and welfare in accordance with Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International (AAALAC)<\/li>\n<li>Perform medical imaging<\/li>\n<li>Monitor for behavior changes<\/li>\n<li>Report on any animals concerns to supervisor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Minimum Qualifications:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Animal Science, Biology, Wildlife Studies, or related life science field OR Associate\u2019s degree in Veterinary Technology\/ Nursing OR 2+ years of college in related Sciences field AND 1-2 years of hands on large or small animal care in laboratory\/research or farming operation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Preferred Qualifications<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prior animal research experience<\/li>\n<li>Experience with using standard laboratory equipment such as scales, measures, pipetting<\/li>\n<li>Ability to follow research study procedures and document findings<\/li>\n<li>Good time management skills<\/li>\n<li>AALAS Certification is preferred but not required-we can help you obtain this!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Additional Job Standards:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Comfortable working with small and large animals in research environment<\/li>\n<li>Ability to assess and differentiate between normal and abnormal species-specific behavior for a variety of laboratory animal species<\/li>\n<li>Ability to effectively describe and communicate animal behavior observations using in accordance with established professional behavior terminology<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility to work overtime as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>What will you be doing?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Your work will contribute to improving the lives and wellness of both people and animals around the world.\u00a0 In this position you will be conducting Animal Research studies that will be looking at the safety, effectiveness and toxicity of drugs that are in early development phase and\/or chemical substances.\u00a0 You\u2019ll be maintaining the\u00a0highest standards of animal care and welfare in accordance with Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International (AAALAC).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Pay Rate: <\/b>$22\/hr. After initial training period (based on performance) $.50 increase.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This is a <b>future hire<\/b> position with an <b>future<\/b> <b>start date<\/b>.\u00a0 The ideal candidate would be available to start in <b>May 2027 <\/b>through <b>October 2027<\/b>.
