Supports the implementation of relevant Quality and Food Safety processes and procedures. Responsible for the daily execution of activities related areas of expertise and focus.<\/p>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<h1><b>A Taste of Your Responsibilities<\/b><\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>Assists in designing and implementation of processes and procedures within assigned technical area(s) of responsibility.<\/li>\n<li>Participates in cross functional teams to assure effective implementation and adherence of QA initiatives and process improvement of our suppliers, under limited supervision.<\/li>\n<li>Performs assigned technical tasks\/duties associated with department processes and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Gathers and studies data to understand trends and issues and to make decisions related to product safety and quality in areas of assigned responsibility.<\/li>\n<li>Provides technical and decision-making support and analyzes data in managing situations and issues relative to quality and\/or food safety as necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Interfaces\/provides technical support to appropriate functions and employees to assure regulatory compliance, food safety and quality of company\u2019s products.<\/li>\n<li>Interfaces with company facilities to facilitate an ongoing effective relationship with packaging material suppliers.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluates effectiveness and assures continuous improvement in assigned areas of responsibility.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<h1><b>Ingredients Required for Your Success<\/b><\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li>BS in Food, Biological or Chemical Science or related field required or equivalent experience.<\/li>\n<li>1+ years\u2019 industry experience required.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of food safety and quality systems and manufacturing processes, technologies or other relevant area of responsibility.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of government regulatory requirements in food packaging (GFSI, FSMA, FDA, USDA)<\/li>\n<li>Troubleshooting, data analysis, and investigative skills required.<\/li>\n<li>Sound report writing, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity in using continuous improvement tools (SPC, Capability Studies, etc.) and fundamentals.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated strength in setting an example for others.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to travel independently and as a responsible company\u00a0representative.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p><b>Physical Requirements<\/b><\/p>\n<p>More information about essential tasks and the facility will be shared during the hiring process. This role may require you to be in our manufacturing facilities. When visiting these sites, the physical requirements below may apply:<br \/>\nYou may be required to walk around the facility, climb stairs\/ladders, kneel, or perform repetitive tasks that require hand-eye coordination.<br \/>\nYou may be required to lift or carry materials that can vary in weight and size.<br \/>\nThis is a manufacturing environment with large, moving equipment.
