Together, we\u2019re improving health and improving lives.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Research Assistant -Study Technician Post Life<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Labcorp is seeking a\u00a0<b>Research Assistant<\/b>\u00a0to join our Post Life team in\u00a0<b>Greenfield, IN<\/b>!<\/p>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p><b>Job Responsibilities:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform basic necropsy or histology tasks on a variety of laboratory animals in compliance with the appropriate SOPs, GLPs, and regulatory guidelines<\/li>\n<li>Monitor animal health and welfare in compliance with the Animal Health and Welfare Act and help maintain facilities for AAALAC compliance<\/li>\n<li>Performing multiple tissue freezing techniques and measuring of tissues<\/li>\n<li>Performing histological trimming, bagging of tissues, and embedding<\/li>\n<li>Learns to perform various methods of euthanasia on multiple species according to USDA regulations (if applicable)<\/li>\n<li>Participates in quality controls and assures correction of errors (incl. documentation)<\/li>\n<li>Participate in monitoring and tracking resources (e.g., equipment, rooms, study supplies)<\/li>\n<li>Adapts techniques to new procedures or particular needs as directed<\/li>\n<li>Learn how to interpret a study protocol<\/li>\n<li>Reports all animal care concerns and becomes involved in the resolution and appropriate corrective action, when necessary<\/li>\n<li>Maintains a safe and clean work environment<\/li>\n<li>Maintains client confidentiality at all times<\/li>\n<li>Performs other duties as assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p><b>Minimum Qualifications:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in animal science, biology, chemistry, microbiology, biochemistry OR associate\u2019s degree in veterinary technician<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p><b>Preferred Qualifications<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>6 months or more of experience with small and large animal dissections<\/li>\n<li>6 months or more of experience in animal handling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p><b>Additional Job Standards<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Comfortable working in Animal Research Facility<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable with performing small and large animal necropsy -training provided<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p><b>Pay:\u00a0<\/b>$22\/hr.<\/p>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p><b>Benefits:\u00a0<\/b>Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD\/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.\u00a0Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.\u00a0For more detailed information, please\u202f<a href=\"https:\/\/careers.labcorp.com\/global\/en\/us-rewards-and-wellness\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Labcorp is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Labcorp strives for inclusion and belonging in the workforce and does not tolerate harassment or discrimination of any kind.
