This is a full-stack role covering the complete development lifecycle \u2014 discovery, planning, design, implementation, testing, release, and production support \u2014 across frontend applications, APIs, backend services, databases, and integrations.<\/p>\n<p data-pasted=\"true\">AI-assisted engineering is a normal part of how we work. Engineers use AI tools throughout planning, implementation, debugging, testing, review, and documentation, and remain fully accountable for the quality, security, and impact of everything they ship.<\/p>\n<p>This role has a flexible work arrangement, meaning we are open to employees working\u00a0<strong>remotely or in-office<\/strong>. Much More<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Responsibilities<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div data-pasted=\"true\">\n<ul>\n<li>Deliver features end to end, spanning frontend, API, backend services, and database layers \u2014 often as coordinated changes across multiple codebases.<\/li>\n<li>Plan before coding: define expected behavior, affected systems, test needs, and regression risk.<\/li>\n<li>Build frontend workflows, forms, and shared components that are reliable, responsive, and true to approved designs, including mobile and progressive web app experiences.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain APIs, backend services, background jobs, and database-backed workflows, including schema changes, stored procedures, and performance-conscious SQL.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to integrations with internal systems and third-party services.<\/li>\n<li>Diagnose and fix defects at any layer \u2014 UI behavior, API responses, service logic, data, background processing \u2014 and participate in production support, staged releases, and hotfixes.<\/li>\n<li>Write automated tests that cover expected behavior, edge cases, and regression risk.<\/li>\n<li>Review teammates&#8217; pull requests regularly and give clear, practical feedback \u2014 code review is a core responsibility, not a side task.<\/li>\n<li>Help keep our platforms healthy through dependency upgrades, refactoring, tooling improvements, and test coverage growth.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate clearly with engineers, QA, Design, Technology Business Partners, and business stakeholders, and document what others will need later.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Job Requirements<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Education and Skills:<\/p>\n<div data-pasted=\"true\">\n<ul>\n<li>2\u20135 years of professional experience building and supporting production software, or equivalent experience.<\/li>\n<li>Strong TypeScript\/JavaScript skills and experience with a modern frontend framework such as React or Angular.<\/li>\n<li>Experience building or maintaining APIs, backend services, and data-driven applications.<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of SQL and relational database design.<\/li>\n<li>Fluency with Git workflows, pull requests, code review, automated testing, and agile delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to debug problems that cross application layers \u2014 UI, API, service logic, database, or background processing.<\/li>\n<li>Good judgment when balancing delivery speed, maintainability, user experience, and production stability.<\/li>\n<li>AI fluency: effective, responsible use of AI-assisted development tools, with validation of everything they produce.<\/li>\n<li>Clear communication with technical and non-technical partners, and a practical interest in solving real business problems with software.<\/li>\n<li>B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>Technologies:\u00a0<strong>Not every item is required \u2014 breadth and willingness to learn matter more than checking every box.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and Python<\/li>\n<li>React, Angular, Next.js, and modern frontend tooling<\/li>\n<li>SQL Server (schema design, stored procedures), MongoDB, and Redis<\/li>\n<li>Background job queues, scheduled jobs, and asynchronous processing<\/li>\n<li>Mapping and geospatial data libraries<\/li>\n<li>Authentication and authorization, feature flags, and headless CMS integrations<\/li>\n<li>Report generation and PDF\/document rendering<\/li>\n<li>CI\/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and logging\/monitoring tools<\/li>\n<li>GitHub, Jira, and AI-assisted development tools<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div data-pasted=\"true\">\n<ul>\n<li>Delivering user-facing features end to end \u2014 frontend through API to database \u2014 in systems with active users.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting production systems: monitoring, triage, hotfixes, and staged release processes.<\/li>\n<li>Working with background jobs, queues, and long-running or asynchronous business workflows.<\/li>\n<li>Modernizing existing systems \u2014 framework and dependency upgrades, refactoring, type-safety and test-coverage improvements \u2014 without disrupting current users.<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining backwards-compatible API contracts for multiple clients, including web and mobile applications.<\/li>\n<li>Moving comfortably between codebases, products, and stacks as team priorities shift.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>** In an effort to provide a safer, drug-free workplace for employees, all full-time applicants to whom offers of employment are made must submit to a drug test and background check, subject to applicable local, state, or federal laws or regulations.
