Position Overview<\/b>: This position is responsible for assisting the location manager with driving the efficiency and effectiveness of the location operations. This position will assist with maintenance of plant and equipment, as needed, as well as sales operations, inventory management and overall plant growth.<\/p>\n

Duties and Responsibilities<\/b>:<\/p>\n

Include but are not limited to<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    \n
  • Assist\u00a0in managing the day-today operations of the facility to provide patrons with prompt, courteous and effective service while\u00a0maintaining\u00a0the efficiency necessary to achieve a\u00a0maximum\u00a0margin of profit.<\/li>\n
  • Supervise mixing, loading and dispatch.<\/li>\n
  • Manage facility assets including routine maintenance, facility and equipment replacement plans and driver equipment inspections.<\/li>\n
  • Manage location risk including compliance with regulations, safety and emergency response training and ongoing site inspections (DOT, Driver records, state chemist records).<\/li>\n
  • Manage selected\u00a0ops\u00a0team members through clear job assignment definition and explanation,\u00a0training\u00a0and ongoing coaching.<\/li>\n
  • Help\u00a0maintain\u00a0inventories at levels to assure service with a minimum of delivery delays, yet\u00a0maintain\u00a0inventory turn goals.<\/li>\n
  • Assist\u00a0in making\u00a0crop\u00a0protection and fertility recommendations using SSI,\u00a0DataOnTouch, field plans, mapping and record keeping.<\/li>\n
  • Assist\u00a0in\u00a0establishing\u00a0and\u00a0implementing\u00a0short-term goals and budgets that are consistent with long range plans for growth in operation, including facility, equipment, and personnel.<\/li>\n
  • Communicate with manager and\u00a0utilize\u00a0additional\u00a0resources (other branch managers, credit, marketing, human resources, etc.) to maximize profitability.<\/li>\n
  • Help\u00a0maintain\u00a0inventories at levels to assure service with a minimum of delivery delays, yet\u00a0maintain\u00a0inventory turn goals.<\/li>\n
  • Assist\u00a0with sales actives, and handle tasks for assigned accounts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Skills and Qualifications<\/b>:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    \n
      \n
    • Class A CDL with\u00a0hazmat endorsement.<\/li>\n
    • Category 1A applicators license.<\/li>\n
    • Computer\u00a0proficiency\u00a0with Microsoft Excel,\u00a0Word\u00a0and Outlook.<\/li>\n
    • Must be a team player and enjoy the effort necessary to contribute to a successful operation and company.<\/li>\n
    • Ability and desire to solve problems in the fields of our customers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

      Education and Experience:<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

      \n
        \n
      • BS Agriculture related degree preferred or 3 to\u202f5 years progressive\u00a0agronomy related experience.<\/li>\n
