{"id":1584,"date":"2026-05-08T19:54:45","date_gmt":"2026-05-08T19:54:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/myfieldatlas.com\/jobs\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=1584"},"modified":"2026-05-08T19:54:45","modified_gmt":"2026-05-08T19:54:45","slug":"ot-virtual-systems-engineer-ii","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/myfieldatlas.com\/jobs\/job\/ot-virtual-systems-engineer-ii\/","title":{"rendered":"OT Virtual Systems Engineer II"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"question thick ng-binding ng-scope jobdescriptionInJobDetails\">Job Description<\/p>\n<p class=\"answer ng-scope jobdescriptionInJobDetails\"><strong>OT Virtual Systems Engineer II &#8211; Frankfort, IN<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is an exempt level position.<\/p>\n<p>***ADM would consider placing this position in any large ADM manufacturing facility.\u00a0 Potential locations include:\u202f\u00a0 Frankfort, IN; Lincoln, NE; Des Moines, IA; Mankato, MN; Quincy, IL; Velva, ND; Deerfield, MO<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary:\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nAs a key member of the Operational Technology (OT) team, you will be responsible for advancing the capabilities and performance of technology systems infrastructure within the ADM OT\/Process Automation (PA) environment, including server hardware, physical and virtual machine deployment and maintenance.<\/p>\n<p>You will work closely with OT engineers and PA engineers, and partner with key business segments, Global Technology (GT, which is ADM&#8217;s IT dept.), and your global OT peers to provide enhanced plant support and high-quality system\u00a0delivery.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create standards and build instructions for system infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, VM farms, and other systems<\/li>\n<li>Migrate VMs across hypervisor platforms<\/li>\n<li>Incorporate security-by-design into all solutions, ensuring that security requirements are considered concurrently with technical requirements<\/li>\n<li>Deploy systems per ADM standards and build instructions<\/li>\n<li>Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair systems<\/li>\n<li>Provide support to others who deploy or maintain systems<\/li>\n<li>Provide end user support both for systems related issues and other infrastructure and applications supported by the OT team<\/li>\n<li>Seek out opportunities for continuous improvement of systems and processes and propose improvement activities<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with 3rd party vendors when appropriate to create engineering solutions and continuous improvement proposals<\/li>\n<li>Continuous\u00a0personal development, ensuring technical skills are kept up to date and non-technical skills are gained and improved<\/li>\n<li>Apply base cross-functional technical knowledge during design processes<\/li>\n<li>Provide boots on the ground support for ADM plants \u2013 limited PC\/end user support, AD administration, application upgrades\/break fix, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Accurately document existing systems and basic physical networking<\/li>\n<li>Some travel and on-call work are expected as part of this position<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"answer ng-scope jobdescriptionInJobDetails\"><strong>Required Skills:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Solid knowledge of Windows Sever based infrastructure services such as Hyper-V, Active Directory, and DNS<\/li>\n<li>Expert knowledge of the MS Windows Server Operating System<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of VMWare Cloud Foundation products, including vSphere, vSAN, vCenter<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Nutanix and HCI infrastructure<\/li>\n<li>Experience of working as a technology generalist with a high-level understanding of end-to-end solutions including infrastructure, applications, databases, networking, and security<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with the use of out-of-band server management for monitoring and configuring servers<\/li>\n<li>Integrations between segregated network zones such as OT, iDMZ, IT<\/li>\n<li>Experience in providing systems engineering expertise in support of incident and request resolution<\/li>\n<li>Ability to create implementation and build documentation<\/li>\n<li>Thorough understanding of system and virtualization security principles and technologies<\/li>\n<li>Technical experience with Process automation systems, including Rockwell or Emerson\u00a0would be considered a valuable skill, but not a requirement for this position.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"answer ng-scope jobdescriptionInJobDetails\"><strong>Required Qualifications:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B.S. Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar technical discipline<\/li>\n<li>1+ years&#8217; experience supporting\u00a0enterprise-level technology operations and services, including experience managing the lifecycle, maintenance, and upgrades of network technologies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"answer ng-scope jobdescriptionInJobDetails\"><strong>Preferred Qualifications:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience designing and deploying VMWare and Nutanix virtual environments<\/li>\n<li>Networking knowledge and experience.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Linux operating systems<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Docker or other containers and container orchestration<\/li>\n<li>Experience in a manufacturing environment and 24\/7 environments<\/li>\n<li>5+ years&#8217; experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"answer ng-scope jobdescriptionInJobDetails\">Excited about this role but don\u2019t think you meet every requirement listed?
