{"id":1531,"date":"2026-04-06T20:00:32","date_gmt":"2026-04-06T20:00:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/myfieldatlas.com\/jobs\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=1531"},"modified":"2026-04-06T20:00:32","modified_gmt":"2026-04-06T20:00:32","slug":"medical-technologist","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/myfieldatlas.com\/jobs\/job\/medical-technologist\/","title":{"rendered":"Medical Technologist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Medical Technologist<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Greenfield IN<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Daytime hours<\/b><\/p>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p>We have an excellent opportunity for a\u00a0<b>Medical Technologist\u00a0<\/b>I to join our\u00a0<b>Clinical Pathology<\/b>\u00a0dedicated to\u00a0<b>Early Development Animal Research\u00a0<\/b>studies.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p><b>Job Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The\u00a0<b>Medical Technologist\u00a0<\/b>performs established procedures for non-clinical testing as required in all assigned laboratory disciplines and is responsible for analyzing specimens whose results are then reported to the pharmaceutical company.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for analyzing animal specimens in conjunction with early development drug studies<\/li>\n<li>Document and resolve any specimen discrepancies. Notify laboratory management when specimen discrepancies are not resolved.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluates and solves problems related to the collection and processing of specimens.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the validity of test results through the performance of established quality control procedures. Interpret quality control results according to established departmental procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Resolve routine and non-routine assay problems.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare workstation and instrumentation for the assigned testing<\/li>\n<li>Operate instruments to perform testing in accordance with established written procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Receive, open and place in service all reagents according to SOPs.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and properly label reagents and document according to SOPs.<\/li>\n<li>Process and ship samples according to study specific instructions.<\/li>\n<li>Perform maintenance on instruments and equipment daily, weekly, monthly, and document.<\/li>\n<li>Open to candidates that are scheduled but have not yet taken ASCP or AMT certification<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p><b>Minimum Qualifications<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree and completion of at least 12-month training program in Medical Technology OR Bachelor\u2019s degree in a chemistry, biology or related science field AND on year training and\/or experience working in hospital or similar laboratory performing clinical laboratory testing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p><b>Preferred Qualifications<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 or more years of experience working in hospital or clinical laboratory setting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p><b>Additional Job Standards<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Comfortable working with samples that have come for animal research<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Benefits:\u00a0<\/b>Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD\/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.\u00a0Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.\u00a0For more detailed information, please\u202f<a href=\"https:\/\/careers.labcorp.com\/global\/en\/us-rewards-and-wellness\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<\/div>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p><b>Labcorp is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Labcorp strives for inclusion and belonging in the workforce and does not tolerate harassment or discrimination of any kind.
