General Description:<\/strong> The position of the Livestock Events Intern reports to Responsibilities:<\/strong> Qualifications:<\/strong> It is preferred that candidates have experience with livestock The Livestock Internship begins in June. Interns are required to stay through
\nthe Livestock Manager and is part of the team that works to coordinate all
\nlivestock shows, competitions, and displays during the 2026 Indiana State
\nFair. This intern will have a chance to work on several projects including fair
\nexhibitor, contractor communications, social media communications, State
\nFair preparations and coordinating livestock-specific programs and displays.
\nThis will be a great opportunity for individuals interested in agriculture,
\nlivestock exhibitions, education and the Indiana State Fair!<\/p>\n
\n1. Assist with overall management of the Indiana State Fair Livestock
\nShow. Communicate updates and information to exhibitors, department
\nstaff and department contractors in a timely, efficient and relevant
\nmanner.
\n2. Develop and execute livestock communications.
\n3. Assist with preparation of materials for shows (back tags, awards, etc.)
\n4. Communicate with and provide logistical support to show Judges
\n5. Provide customer service to exhibitors.
\n6. General office tasks (copying, filing, mail, etc.)
\n7. Coordinate with livestock vendor partners: videography, photography,
\nscales, vets, etc.
\n8. Assist with the development and execution of livestock displays.<\/p>\n
\nshows or special events and are enrolled in an agriculture-related field of
\nstudy. The ideal candidate should be flexible, creative, able to work extended
\nhours, when necessary, self-motivated, organized, and able to work
\nindependently and in a team. Candidates should have a working knowledge of
\nWindows, Excel, PowerPoint and social media. Knowledge of livestock care is
\nalso a plus.<\/p>\n
\nthe duration of the State Fair, August 17, 2025. Interns work 30-40 hours per
