Title: Education Intern<\/strong><\/p>\n

Internship Dates:<\/strong> May through August, start and finish dates are negotiable.<\/p>\n

Paid Internship<\/strong><\/p>\n

General Description:<\/strong> Education interns report to the Director of Education.
\nThe Education Internship is an interdisciplinary internship with a focus on the
\nresearch and implementation of educational programming which will take
\nplace before and during the 2026 Indiana State Fair.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities:<\/strong>
\n1. Implement the educational programs which will take place throughout
\nthe Indiana State Fair.
\n2. Create lesson plans that utilize and deliver Indiana Academic Standards.
\n3. Project and display development for the Indiana State Fair deliverables.
\n4. Lead seasonal employees to successfully deliver education to fair
\nvisitors.
\n5. Understand the objectives and delivery plan of educational content and
\ncomponents of The Wonder Trail, Little Hands on the Farm, Glassbarn,
\nNormandy Barn, Animal Town, Momma Town, consumer programming
\nand Indiana State Fair fieldtrips.<\/p>\n

Requirements:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Applicants should have completed at least one year of college
\n\u2022 Must be able to work long hours during the Fair
\n\u2022 Have good communication and writing skills
\n\u2022 Experience working with children or family education programming
\n\u2022 Academic background in education, agriculture, or science
\n\u2022 Have excellent customer service skills
\n\u2022 Have excellent time management and organizational skills
