If so, then this is the role for you. As a Beck\u2019s Seed Advisor, you\u2019ll be provided with the tools and resources you need to serve as the link between our customers and our products. You will help grow our market share, attract new dealers and customers, and promote our added value programs at major company events and functions. But it doesn\u2019t end there. You\u2019ll also be responsible for promoting the \u201cBeck\u2019s Experience\u201d while maintaining the integrity of our brand, our family, and everything we stand for.<\/p>\n<p>This position will serve the marketing territory of\u00a0<strong>East Central<\/strong><strong>\u00a0Indiana<\/strong>, which includes the counties of\u00a0<strong>Wells, Adams, Blackford, Jay, Randolph, and Wayne<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>As a member of the Beck\u2019s Family of employees, all full-time employees are eligible for a generous benefits package:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Health benefits including two medical plan options and company HSA contributions, dental, vision, employer paid life\/AD&amp;D for you and your dependents, disability insurance, and access to an onsite Nurse Practitioner<\/li>\n<li>401k plan match &amp; company sponsored pension plan and access to a Financial Advisor to help you manage your retirement savings<\/li>\n<li>Paid time off, Paid Holidays, Wellness Programs, &amp; Corporate Discounts<\/li>\n<li>Company Christmas Party, Free Lunch, Two-Hundred Dollar Merchandise Allowance, &amp; Much More<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Responsibilities<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li id=\"isPasted\">Set clear expectations:\n<ul>\n<li>Communicate regularly with assigned dealers and general customers<\/li>\n<li>Define expectations and responsibilities for dealers<\/li>\n<li>Hold dealers accountable for meeting or exceeding expectations and responsibilities<\/li>\n<li>Provide feedback to Area Team Leader<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Dealer recruitment:\n<ul>\n<li>Identify areas that do not have adequate dealer representation<\/li>\n<li>Identify, recruit and hire quality dealers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Dealer development and dealer management:\n<ul>\n<li>Listen and ask questions of assigned dealers and their customers<\/li>\n<li>Stay positive<\/li>\n<li>Encourage collaboration and teamwork across the dealer network<\/li>\n<li>Develop strategic plans and goals for assigned dealers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>To retain and grow sales and build customer relationships<\/li>\n<li>To develop personally via continuing education and training\n<ul>\n<li>Deliver tough messages to dealers when needed<\/li>\n<li>Reward performance and teamwork<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the dealer network within the specific area is healthy and productive<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with appropriate team members to coordinate aspects of individual dealerships to include, but not limited to, licensing, collection of accounts, troubleshooting calls, orders, inventory and distribution<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Perform other related duties as may be required by the Area Team Leader, Regional Business Manager or the Director of Sales and Marketing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Job Requirements<\/u><\/p>\n<p id=\"isPasted\">1.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0Education and training:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor of Science Degree in Agronomy, Ag Economics, Marketing, Sales or five (5) years sales experience or demonstrated seed sales success<\/li>\n<li>CCA preferred<\/li>\n<li>Must possess and maintain a valid driver\u2019s license and insurable driving record as determined by Beck\u2019s automobile policy<\/li>\n<li>This is a safety-sensitive position.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0Technical knowledge:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proficiency with relevant computer and software skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills both verbal and written<\/li>\n<li>Proven sales, negotiation and management skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to identify and resolve agronomic challenges<\/li>\n<li>Chauffeur License or equivalent is required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>3.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0Experience:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prior experience in management preferred<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Five years sales and agronomic experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>4. \u00a0 \u00a0Physical Demands<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to pass DOT physical and obtain Medical Examiner\u2019s Certificate may be required<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds unassisted<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>** In an effort to provide a safer, drug-free workplace for employees, all full-time applicants to whom offers of employment are made must submit to a drug test and background check, subject to applicable local, state, or federal laws or regulations.
